The Pipeline Infrastructure Task Force's draft report is out. The 30-day public comment period began on Saturday--just 30 days to read and comment on a 335-page report with no hearings at the beginning of a holiday season. On Wednesday, November 18th, the Task Force will hold a 'working meeting' to start finalizing the report and we hope that you can join us for a rally and public comment.
The Pipeline Infrastructure Taskforce's goal is to 'build public acceptance' of pipelines and drilling. This is the group that disinvited activist Scott Cannon to serve when they realized who he was. This is the group that states as one of its goals, "Amplify and engage in meaningful public participation.” Join LAP for rally and public comment. In September, we delivered a letter signed by 115 organizations calling on Wolf to shut down the task force, stop fracking, and help those already harmed.
In October, we filled the audience. Twenty-seven of us commented.
This time, we've got some big plans and need your help! Please join us at this month's meeting on 11/18 at noon for a rally and press conference prior to the 1 p.m. meeting. Please stay if you can to make a comment at the end of the meeting.
