"Dwyer said the Wichita, Kansas-based order of Catholic women opposes the construction of the Atlantic Sunrise pipeline based on the group’s support of sustainable energy and opposition to fossil fuels.

Also, taking a visible stand against the pipeline is based on the order’s land ethic, which 'is based on the principles of the sacredness of creation,' said Dwyer, the order’s Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation coordinator in Washington, D.C."
