The eight Lancaster residents who were arrested for shutting down Williams Partners pipeline-preparation core-sample drilling along the banks of the Conestoga are facing their first court date on February 5th at 10am.  Supporters will gather inside and outside of the District Justice office on 841 Stehman Road, Millersville.

Feb. 5: Court Date for 8 Arrested “Conestoga Land Protectors” - Community to Gather in Support

The eight Lancaster residents who were arrested for shutting down Williams Partners pipeline-preparation core-sample drilling along the banks of the Conestoga are facing their first court date on February 5th at 10am.  Supporters will gather inside and outside of the District Justice office on 841 Stehman Road, Millersville.

The eight arrested residents - who some in the community have dubbed the “Conestoga Land Protectors” - will hold a short press conference announcing the outcome of their court date outside the District Office building immediately after the preliminary hearing. The names of the eight arrested residents are: Mark Clatterbuck, Jono Droege, Dr. Nancy Jeffries, Nick Martin, Angela Nitchman, Carlos Whitewolf Rivera, Daniele Spagnolo and Benjamin Weiss. The January shut-down of the drill rig garnered significant statewide media coverage - and also received some attention in publications throughout the nation.
